Bairro Alto

One of our Portuguese friends says, "Bairro Alto is really a night area with lots of all night noise, so be careful." It's right in the middle of the action. If you don't like the noise of the city till dawn this may be a cool neighborhood to visit but it probably isn't the place for you to stay in.

This is a boutique cereal place. We're not huge cereal people nowadays but it looks like a cool concept and a unique experience.

The pizza looks fantastic. Italian style pizza with fresh ingredients make this a must stop spot, even if you're determined to eat Portugese cuisine.

People described the burgers at this place as 'divine'. Tons of reviewers said that the lemonade made out of lime was amazing and recommended the mayo. They have very good vegetarian burgers but be advised, they don't accept credit or debit cards.

Another pizza place in Lisbon? Yes! Another pizza place in Lisbon! People go crazy over the Truffle pizza and they have vegan pizza options.

Reviewers say that this Korean place is better than some of the best Korean restaurants in Korea. The quality of the meat, especially the beef, comes up in every review but everything looks amazing.

It's on a corner and doesn't look fancy from the outside but the food and vibe are excellent. People love anything cod, especially the cod steaks, and like that they have vegetarian and vegan options.

They remodeled an old house with an extravagant interior and transformed it into what every review states, 'An amazing experience.' People think it's better than the Michelin restaurants they visited in the Lisbon.

This a is a fancy place, so fancy that people talk about the experience more than they talk about the meal. If you're up for it the 17 courses paired with 6 different types of wine looks fantastic.

Reviewers go bonkers over the Tapas and say that these are the best cocktails they've had so far in Lisbon. The oxtail tacos come up a lot as does the excellent house wine.

This is another fancy restaurant but people note the big portions and the cozy atmosphere. The cod comes up in so many reviews I consider it a must get.

With 4.8 stars on Google and people going crazy over the food, service, and hosts this might me a must-eat place. It's a tapas place but it's best to make a reservation.

Reviewers love the price to quality ratio but note that it's best to book a table in advance. People say the octopus is their favorite dish on the menu.

We love the Tapas places! This one is cash only and people note that the place is small but the food is amazing if you're willing to put up with the crowds.

The view is superb, the drinks are well made, and the food is tasty. It looks well worth a night sitting atop their patio.

We're all about the scenic spots and this seems like a fantastic place to take in a sunset over the river with a bunch of locals. Bands and artists often perform in the afternoon and evening creating a jovial vibe.

Riding the tram through one of the cities oldest neighborhoods is one of the most popular tourist traps in Lisbon. It's public transportation so you'll pay exactly what you'd pay for any other form of public transportation in the city. It's cheap so there's always a crowd and best to do early or late in the day.

It's the home of the world's most expensive chapel and though the exterior architecture isn't opulent the interior is spectacular. Most of the reviewers say that it's a must-see.

It's being renovated as I'm writing this but we're hoping they'll finish before the wedding. It's supposed to be an amazing place to watch the sunset over the city.

We love walking around every city we visit. Traditional tourist sights may be our destination but many times we happen on places like this and they're what stick in our memory.

Although the B&B is in another district, it's a closer walk than a lot of the hotels within Principe Real. People love the 'quaint' decor and location, though you need a strong set of legs to get around the surrounding area.

It's hard to find a negative review about this hotel. People love the location, backyard pool, and restored 18th-century building.

There's nothing wrong but it's expensive. The location is tremendous, the food is increadible, and the rooms are luxurious.
